Fundraiser for The Monzel Family
Help Evan's Family Stay Where He Can Breathe More Freely
Last year, Evan nearly lost his life during a severe asthma attack. I am seeking help in raising funds to help his family cover the care and support he needs so that he can continue breathing better and live a healthier, active life.
Hi my name is Alesha and this is my dear friend Tressica's 9 yr. old son. When Evan was only 6 months old he was diagnosed with RSV and required the use of a nebulizer to help him breath throughout his illness. Ever since that illness Evan has never stopped using a nebulizer to help him breathe. Not only that but as he got older the Pulmonologist had to add a long-term inhaler, which he used twice a day, and an emergency inhaler for times when he just needs some help breathing.
Throughout Evan's life he has had multiple doctor appointments, emergency room visits, and even hospital stays due to a full on asthma attack. After Evan's last major asthma attack (last year) he nearly died. This has cause him extreme anxiety to the point of him not wanting to go to school, join friends on playdates, or simply stay over at a family members house without his mom because of his fear of having another asthma attack.
As you can imagine this has caused Evan's parents extreme heartache, stress, and much financial debt. Not to mention packing up their belongings , moving half-way across the country, finding new jobs, and housing within their budget. Tressica has described to me as this being the most defeated she has ever felt in her life, and that the thing that is keeping her going right now is that Evan has not used his nebulizer and has been wheened off his long-term inhaler (with Dr. approval) since they moved to Florida.
At this time the Monzel's are renting short term but have to move again very soon. They were able to find a school for Evan and Tressica even got a job at the school. Hopefully this will not only ease some of Evan's anxiety but will also help with the transition of Evan starting intensive therapy to work through his fears.
I have known Tressica for over 20 yrs. She has a Heart of GOLD. She has blessed so many people in this world, including me, that I believe it is time we give her something in return.
So please if you can bless this family with a financial gift to ease some of their stress, financial burdens, and moving expenses it would be the greatest gift to them at this time. If not I know Tressica is a woman of faith and would appreciate any prayers or for you to share Evan's story with others.

Thank you and God Bless-
Alesha
